so if the federal government is shutdown, it should be no federal sales tax or earned income tax right? I don't think we should be paying for any taxes while they are shut down.

yeah not giving them money while they are shut down from not having enough money is a good idea, it will definitely solve our problems

Well the budget expires midnight on the east coast. If they dont come up with a new one then all government work stops. except for exempt employees. Then negotiations continue Monday morning. Work continues as normal when a budget is agreed upon.

Effective tomorrow, government works get paid for what they are actually worth.

The bad part is the ones who need paid is getting screwed while the government officials who don't deserve to get paid still collects their pay check. Its the working stiffs of the government who gets screwed not the politicians.
