Gotta love the smell of burning something

So I just installed 2 12's in a ported box in my trunk.... i was playing music for a while, and all of a sudden smelt a burning for a few seconds... i stopped playing music for a bit, checked the subs when i stopped, they seemed to be working alright.

later i checked them again, now instead of bumping hard like they normally do, they are kind of vibrating, and it doesn't sound as good and DEFINITELY not as hard at all, like they lack alot on bumping now....

my question is.... could my wiring do this? I didn't wire everything too tight, did something shake loose possibly? either between each 12 and the backend of the box or the box and the amp?

or, did I just fry both 12's at once? or did the amp fry? how can I test where the problem is?

thanks

Could have burned the subs by pushing them too much with

super stiff spiders?(is it possible?) You could have a loose speaker wire, I've had that

happen since the subs are in the same box you don't notice

that one is not getting power. You could take a DMM to the speaker outs

to see if the amp is putting out the appropriate amount of power.

The list goes on, you gotta narrow down the possibilitys.
