Gotta change stock battery... Pulling 2000 RMS watts

Ok, so technically I can remove my stock battery and switch it with this Deka one, or do I use both of them at the same time? I don't know if the Deka will fit in the battery compartment under my hood though, so that's why I put it in the trunk? What if I'm out of trunk space?

Yes the deka can be used as primary batt. Will it fit under ur hood well NO not without some major mods. Some will say u cant run 2 different types of batts but I have with zero issues. Oh and MAKE ROOM its a sealed batt so u can put it anywhere upside down, sideways, dnt matter just get it in there lol

So try and find out and get back to me by PM or in this thread, I'll check it multiple times daily.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I'm learning more and more haha. Now I realize how much of a noob I am at this.

^ hahahahaha. Yea that Soundstream thing is hideous.

But you need a bigger battery man, to help with the current draw. An extra battery would be able to store more energy for when your system is pulling it. This is important because if there's no extra energy, then the voltage being supplied to the amps will drop, and you risk causing permanent damage to your amps, subs, and speakers.

Depending on the battery under your hood, you could either replace it, or leave it. If it's only a couple years old, I'd leave it, and just get the big battery like Jose suggested in the back. It's a group 31 sized battery so it's massive and won't fit under your hood most likely, but you really will need something like that in the trunk. That's actually a pretty good price too. You can usually find them lightly used and well maintained around the forums for a bit less. Once again, you're in Canadia and are likely going to get fucked in the ass with shipping unless you can find someone to ship it to and pick up with your home theatre system. But I'd say this battery is pretty inevitable. If your better under the hood is closer to 5 years old, I'd swap that out as well.

EDIT: The page didn't refresh for me, so I didn't see all these new replies here.... FAIL. haha. Pretty much ignore my post now.

No actually it was pretty informative thanks a lot ! And your idea of sending it to the same person and picking it up is a GREAT idea. I'll consider that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thank you for the information. That's what I wanted to hear. Now I know the difference between the cap/cell thing and what you're recommending. I will look into the one Bett'r is selling.

Even to Quebec, Canada? And I just like the looks on the cell/cap thing better, but that's not something I look for when making a purchase, I was just pointing it out, that's all. Let's not make this an issue. All I'm looking for is something that will provide the perfect amount of power for approximately 2000 wrms at full load and never damage my equipment. If the Deka you are referring to will do it, which it probably does since you're recommending it, I will gladly look into it. Thank you for the suggestions.

Anybody else have ideas?
just be open minded....and I was joking on the amp choice my man....what did you spend on your amps combined? just poking fun I understand and respond the same way when people make remarks like mine.

The battery is what you need. most definitely, changed mine and did the big3 and lights wouldn't until I was at full tilt for alittle while. When I added a second battery in the back, nothing at all...gotta keep voltage up....those amps aren't necessarily warhorses or top pics and they can be sensitive....your voltage drop is nothing to be played with....also the cap is solely a bandaid and can cause more strain on your system because of the constant change that happens with those....they recharge/discharge so quickly that it actually kills your alt faster

I see. And yes, I am open-minded, I just got a lot of "lol what a fail build" on here when posting what I thought was good when I first came here, realizing that there is better than Polk Audio (lol...) and I'm trying to learn but all this criticizing is taking the interest away from me. All I want are people to explain to me, even though it probably has been explained over a billion times, I like to have it explained related to my situation so I understand better. Then I can freely choose and guide others knowing my stuff. Thanks for the info on the cap.

Where at in Canada?

Shipping would cost a shit ton lol

That's the thing. I was thinking about sending it over to a trustworthy person a couple minutes from the border and go get it which would be a lot cheaper. I'll be doing the same thing with a home theater system. I have a thread going for that, I don't remember if you saw it.
