I have said it many times over what has happend to mine, but since you haven't read anything on it I will just inform you what happend in my instance. I will say this, that the guys at FI are good and the shipping was a little late, but got to me in perfect working condition. So no gripe with them, just the woofers they build. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif When I first got mine I put it in a numerous boxes and it just didn't get loud, nor did it sound rite. Sounded like something was knocking and it was brand new. So talked to Scott and he said send it back and so I did and I thought that was cool cause he took care of me. Thing that pissed me off, was they said I blew it! Impossible because I barely even had it hooked up and it was only seen maybe if I was lucky 900rms. Plus all my gains and crossover points where turned way down and no bassboost or loud button was off. I know I wasn't clipping it either. So I said to myself I just got a bad sub. Had to be it from my view point. So he fixed it and sent it back with a stronger spider landing and got it back with in a month. So I was happy. Time went by and put it in and still wasn't getting loud so came to the conclusion that I was just so used to SPL from my SPL days. Well each week went buy and seemed to get louder and just overall sound better to the point I was totally satisfied and even told myself, "this woofer is sounding really good!" Wasn't about another week that went by and heard a popping noise when I would turn it up. So went back and pressed on sub and felt air coming out! I was like shit, I have a leaky box! So take it out and put it back in and play it, still hear it. So I am like ok press in on sub again and still feel air coming out. I made sure that sucker was in there good. I then press again and seen the 2" rip around my surround part of the sub. I am like you have got to be kiddin' me! How does a rip like this occur from playing music? I am not hard on it, gains are turned down? I also have a grill covering it, so I know nothing got to it, Plus I don't put anything directly in front of it. So I didn't even email Scott about it or do anything about it. I felt like they were poorly built subs or should say the 1 sub I got. I didn't want to get another one cause I probably would have been charged for it some way or some how and after so many problems with it, I just gave up and currently is still just sitting in my box ripped, unhooked. Too lazy to even take it out, lol!
Sorry for the long post, but felt like saying something. I don't have anything against Scott or FI besides the bad luck I have had with their sub. Hey if it was my fault I would say so. I have nothing to hide, so no reason to lie. Plus I haven't even tried to get a hold of them over this last situation. I just will go with another company next time. I wish FI and current owners the best of luck. Seems to me I just got a bad sub.
