Hello kids, and welcome to your daily installment of:
Ghetto of the Day
Today's ghetto is:
"Trap or die" (by request):
Trap, as found in many recent songs by the upcoming "TI" is a reference to landing a really good record deal. We can infer this from the line: "First rule: if it's real, It ain't just a record deal, It's a trap." Also, from his latest album "Trap Music." He called it this to signify that he hit the bigtime.
So, putting everything together, "Trap or die" for rappers is basically the same as saying "Get rich or die tryin;" Either you get yourself a fly *** record deal, or you're nothing.
I hope you all have enjoyed your installment of GotD and will use your newfound knowledge to meet and experience new people in the ghetto culture!
