got these at a yardsale today and i don't know anything about them!!!!!

I went to a church sale and bought a particle board box marked "sub wofer"

I asked the guy if he knew what kind of speaker(s) were in it and he said he didn't know.....

I pried the box apart and there was 4 of these little 6.5" subs in it.

They say Acoustic Image on them and model # GW-6028

I've searched the net and on here and found very little about some home audio speakers by AI.

Are these little suckers worth anything or did I waste a little money?

I paid $1 for the 4 of them in a now destroyed box.....the box was moldy and is now in pieces.....

I also got a JBL amp which I'm gonna test and then sell if it's workin'

I'm trying to figure out if these were used in a vehicle or in a house/auditorium.

Anybody know anything else about them?

I got 4 of them.....so .25 each isn't a big waste of cash even if they're total crap

the box was custom made and the subs were completely enclosed ....it was pretty much a 4th order bandpass......they fired into a sealed area and rebounded into a ported back side....the ports were removed but i could see the silicone used to seal them in.......they all work and seem to be pretty heavy duty for 6.5" subs.....heavy little suckers too

no, they weren't facing each other.....all were lined up in the box.....

shit id put theose in a HT set-up. look pretty beefy but the cone looks like a treated paper. so my geuss is with a little time they'll be done and go up to speaker heaven

I was wondering if anybody knew or could somehow find the T/S properties or even just the ohm and rms of them........i guess a dmm would tell me the ohms....right?

a DMM would tell you the DCR, which would put you in the ballpark of the "nominal" impedance...

Could send them to someone that has a Woofer Tester, and get detailed T/S params for it...

on my dmm i'm getting 7.8 to 8.0 with the dcv ohm setting on 200.....they're 8 ohm?
