I actually put this in a few months ago, but I was lazy and didn't make a thread. The screen is a Lilliput flipout touch screen and the specs of the computer are as followed:
1.4ghz AMD Geode Mini-ITX
512 MB RAM
80GB Hard drive
M1-ATX power supply (lol it sucks I know. It's a miracle the computer even runs because my 12v rail only puts out 8v!)
Wifi and Bluetooth
GPS
Centrafuse front end (Road Runner pictured)
My install isn't too pretty, but it worked. I originally bought a Scosche double-DIN install kit that I thought would fit 2 single DIN units, but I was wrong. There was no room for the trim plates to go on and I could only get my head unit to fit and not the flipout.
To solve that problem, I put the head unit on the bottom and got some mounting tape and taped the flipout on top of the head unit. I have now learned NEVER to use mounting tape like that again. The flipout is stuck to the top of the head unit. If I try to pull it off, it'll pull the outer casing of my head unit off before the tape breaks off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
I wanted to keep my original head unit for various reasons. I compete and CDs must be used at times, so I had no choice but to keep the head unit. I also prefer to control the volume and such from the HU instead of the computer itself. It also allows me to listen to music from the HU and run navigation or whatever from the carputer.
