got some new subs

i got 2 10" alpine type R the new model. Ok i have a Kenwood 8101D 1000w mono amp and a kenwood 2channel 7201 amhttp://www.pimpmycar.net/brands_kenwood-amp-2channel-kac-7201.htmlp.

i wanted to know how i should hook these up to get the most power out of them, it dont matter if i run 1 amp or both of them just need to know if those will work. and if i should use one amp for the subs and the other for the reg speakers...

Run the mono block amp with both subs wired to the single channel.

That's not right. Type R's are either 2 or 4 ohm DVC not SVC like pictured.

i know its not enough power, but is there any way to wire both the amps to the subs for more power, cuz i dont have the money for a new amp right now.. or what should i do. i can take them back cuz i got them from a friend and he said if i didn't like them he will give me my money back. if so what would be a good sub that i can use that is almost as good as those type R's.
