Got some New subs Now have a quick box question

Well i am in the middle of designing a new box for my ranger, i just got 2 8" L5's. i want to go ported, so i was thinking of building a box like the pics below, i was thinking a 3 in wide port, but the only thing is how big should they be, i have never designed a box for these, i am going to be tuning to 35hz, and to accompany for the box not being very deep i am going to have the port stick out of the box a little and the port will fire between the bucket seats.

So once again how tall should the port be if its 3in wide, or could i get away with a areoport and if so how big should i use...

Enclosure volume would be helpfull...

i havent measured it out yet, but i am shooting for 2 to 2.5 cubes, that should be enough i would think for these little monsters

the most i can give it, with bbp6 i am getting is 2.165 total, with a port that is 3x5x10, after port volume is 2.065, that is the max i can give these, does that sound good or is there any changes to be made...i have never owned a set of the kicker solo series before
