Well on my 13W7 I got some metal shavings... I drilling out a stripped screw that was holding the W7 in the box, and some of the shavings from that got in the spider. I have taken most of it off so far by hand, its just stuck on there because of the magenet. Should I be worried about this and pic every peice of or is it fine? thanks.

You definitely don't want any of those shavings falling down into the gap.

I'd get as much as humanly possible out. Grab a little shop vac and try to sweep the rest of them out.d

yea man just go to a hardware store and get a strong *** magnet and pull them babies off.... even if they dont fall into the gap u dont want them rubbin on that spyder.... bad stuff could def happen

ok I wouldn't listen to them unless you want a ****ed up w7, what you need is blue painters/ masking tape. 8ve had the same problem w/ a mid and when I called image dynamics they said that is the ONLY thing I should use otherwise you coul risk damaging the woofer.

unless you get some ungodly magnet that is stronger than the w7s, those metal shavings are staying put.

im going with the tweezers, you definently DON'T want those shavings to fall into the gap

**** there is a tiny bit left, its really hard to get out even with a shop vac. How bad is it if its still in ther? I played it with the metal shavings... i am going to take out the sub here sooner or later to check it out...
