the "i wasnt driving then" excuse wont work. and i know atleast in IL that ticket would be thrown out, my buddy got away w/ a DUI becuase the cop had 1 number rong on his drivers liscence #. if its a minimal fee just pay it, fighting will end up costing you more in the long run(court costs, taking off of work)

Just pay the fine. I've had a couple, they're $50 at the most in IL, not sure about CA though.

That is because of improper paperwork. If he had your buddy's liscense plate right he wouldn't have gotten out of it. I highly doubt the OP will get out of this ticket nor do I think it is worth it to fight it.

if you where playing rap you will lose. on the other hand I was stopped once about ten years ago but when the cop realized it was Charley Daniels playing he said "carry on"

that is sooo true. when i play rap i used to get all kinds of nasty looks. people getting out of thier cars wanting to fight. people yelling.

on the other hand is i was to put in some metal or rock i could play it even louder and hardly ever had a problem. matter a fact people you give things like thumbs up or motion for me to turn it down just to tell me how awesome it was.

it just proves that its not about how loud your playing but more about WHAT your playing

depending on the cost of the fine.
for me they are about 80 bucks. i just pay it because it is worth it just to not have to take the time to fight it. PS: my last ticket was march of 08. i learned my leason after a total of 13 + ticket in less then 6 month.

like the guy above me i used to NEVER have a problem. then once i broke the 150 mark i guess i reached the limit they are willing to accept.

Get a free consultation with a lawyer and tell him what happened and tell him about the wrong info on the ticket. You should be able to fight it. Theres a lawyer around here who got 3 kids' DUIs thrown out because the tickets said "or" instead of "and"

where in IL are you at??!? in springfield they're $75.. but if the cop is a dic*, they can give a city ordinance ticket.. those start at $250!!!!!!! then $500 for the second and $1000 for 3rd. even heard after 3 or more they can seize you stereo equip.!!! WTF
