well my p860mp showed up today a day early, so i thought COOL!

I hooked it up and like a kid in a candy shop, i was in heaven..

the SQ is 100X better then my old jvc.. the sub controls and crossover work great, and i the highpass made my fronts sound even better.. i left all the output levels at zero .. turned on bbe digital and loudness, then i adjusted the front to max listening level, and adjusted my sub gain.. on my old jvc i had it turned up to about 80% with 15% bass boost.. with this new premiere i have the sub gain at a little less then half with the bass boost OFF! and the clarity is AWESOME.. gettting around the menus is easy and it didnt take me long before i had it tuned in great..

then it went downhill quick

i hit eject on the mp3 disc i had made to try it with, and it didnt come out!

i hit eject again.. no dice. and again, it came out about a 1/4 in..

i had to use tweazers to get it out..

it was a refurb at millionbuy.com, and they are going to replace it for me, but man this sucks.. i have the best beats with this deck, and now i am gonna have to go without what i know it is capable of while i get this HU replaced..

i wish i could just live with it, but obviously that isnt possible, however, except for that, it sounds amazing..

i dont suppose there is anything i can try to get it to work??

well with my refurb 860 every now and then (only with burned discs) it will just stick out a bit but by pushing up a bit on the bottom edge of the disc it comes out just fine.

i have never had it completely stick in there.

hopefully you get everything all worked out.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!

after reading the last post about sometimes have troubles with CD-R's made at home.. i went out and tried a few original cd's

THEY ALL WORK FINE, CAME OUT PERFECTLY!!!!!!!

and then i tried a few cd-r's including the one that wouldnt come out earlier, AND THEY WORK TOO!!!!

I am gonna watch it close for a few days.. but maybe it just needed to be used a bit to break it in?? the originals came out so perfect, maybe it had just been in the box so long it needed used some..

i dont know but i am very happy now..

i already requested a RMA #, but MAYBE i wont have to use it..

Search around, you can lube up the gears on it.

gives you nasty nasty alternator whine, its easily fixable, but it's just a pain, it was a very common problem with the 2004-2005 pioneer units

EDIT: but oh BTW, i love mine too, ive never had a problem with ejecting CD's, but it's good yours doesn't do it anymore

Sorry to hear about the bad luck, especially right after hearing how good they sound. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I am still very pleased with mine accept for a small glitch with the little plastic fuse holder in which runs to my sat. radio receiver. It just fell apart. Scared me to death that my satilite radio receiver/unit went out. But, whew. It was only that very cheap peace of plastic. i've had the occasional problem with it not fully ejecting cd's as well. nothing to really worry about. on my old one the volume knob would mess up too. it should be golden. gl!

I have had 2 of those decks. one brand new from a local dealer and a used one, both did the same eject thing but neither had ground loop issues.

well, I have the p8mp (close enough lol) and the only problems that Ive noticed are the RCA ground thing, and that the face sometimes doesnt flip down unless you flick the front of it firmly. Then its more than glad to open up and spit out a cd. But that may just be mine
