Got news for ya

I think it's time for more companies to get on the cea2006 bandwagon, so we can end all this overrated/underrated business.

It'd be great if one day you could go to the store and look at the specs, and buy it knowing it really does the specs. Not more, not less, just what was on the paper. I don't need a 2000w amp to do 2300 watts, i just want it to do what it says, no matter what brand, no matter what 'class', no matter what store hypes it up.

there are some amps that u cannot underestimate. i agree wit some of wha u said, i say do a heads up test wit a us amp and a powerbase and see wha happens. maybe someone doesnt wanna pay 500+ for a US amp, when they can get 2 amps that will prob mash it. it all boils done to teh user. im juss curious to see u do a test and see how much power a us amp is really puttin out. who cares wha its benched at, real world is wha counts.

Man, that was my point entirely, you're just obviously much better at making it for me. I'm so over all these guys that come where i work that actually believe that their Power Acoustic with those humoungous VU meters is just as good as a 1000$ competition amp. I just don't get it sometimes.

i know my PA puts out more then 700@2ohm, comparing it to my other amp(640@2ohm mtx) isn't even fair. might not to what's rated(might though i don't know) but does more for just barely more $ then the mtx

You are one of the rare people i have no argument with. If someone isn't looking to spend $500+ on an amp then brands like Power Acoustic and Planet Audio and so forth are the way to go. I just sit in shock and horror when a customer actually comes at me trying to convince me that their 300$ "2000" watt amp is every bit as good as a 1200$ amp that's actually rated correctly at 1500 watts RMS. That leaves me speachless most of the time. Or nautious.

Screw peak power, i could care less about that and most good amps don't even list their peak power because they too know it's pointless. Sure, a Us Amp AX 3000 DE has over 6000 watts of dynamic power but everyone and their brother knows that you'll never see more then 3600 watts rms outta the thing.
