got new rims today not sure what to think of them

Ugly IMO. I think you should have gone with a classier all chrome set. I just hate the look of machined and black rims on an SUV

Who cares how much they cost....first of all. Being able to picture something in your mind before you make the purchase is key and it doesn't look like you have this skill. Some people just don't.

The first set of rims looked better even though they were cheap ebay rims, but you had other issues at that time. You had fake fender vents, 22'' decals, chrome door handles, chromes door pillars....etc. You had too much going on. Less is more if you want it to look nice. It's a freakin' Explorer so no matter how much cheap crap you add to it, it's never going to look like an Escalade.

I like the design of the rims, but I think it'd look better if they were all black.

Random question, do you get noise with your window vents? I have a 3rd gen too and I have in channels, they are noisy as hell.

Kind of plain, not enough texture to offset the otherwise stock looking vehicle (basically). Usually with more stock looking vehicles, flashier wheels with a lot of texture look best because they stand out more. Those wheels dont have a lot of texture to them (sitting still or rolling) and would look better on a more modified ride where attention is wanted to stay on the car itself rather than draw the eyes away to the wheels.

Just imo.

It would look good if you took off all the plastic, new paint job, ditch the blue headlights! lower it with thin rubber.

Blue headlights do not belong on trucks or bubble chevys.

I got white HIDs with projector lens and they look like they belong.

Blue lights are a tuner thing!

If you want to run HIDs, first get projector lenses and get some 4300K bulbs or even 5000K
