Got my vette shot

Not sure why in the world you would put flake paint job on such a beautiful car, but is interesting to say the least. Maybe a little of your own taste. Myself, I liked it better the other way, but my favorite color on anything is Black with tinted windows.
Nice car though!

the other vette I had was black with black interior, so I wanted something "louder" in color this time.

Plus I live in Kentucky, home of the Corvette...there are like 2938928 vettes in my town alone, so I gotta be "different"

Huh... I've never hydroplaned my big tires before, and they are 35x12's.
Course, I can't really get over 80-90 MPH either... lawl

well vettes are really light cars in the first place, so that probably didnt help my skiing efforts any.

That pic doesnt do the HOK paint justice. I would love to see it in person. If you dont mind me asking, how much did it cost for the paint?

it was a package deal, straighten out the front end damage and line up all the body lines again, fix a door that had a crack in it from the wreck, and shave the antenna ... I went out and purchased the flake though, it was $35 for a whole can of it which is enough to do about 2 cars.....so I gave the guy $3,000 for it. The guy mainly does vettes for car shows, and his normal price is $8,000 so I got the work done at a hell of a price in my opinion.

and really, bringing my vette back to life and presentable shape was worth the money.

I know what you are talking about. My dad GTA did the same and it isn't even as light. My GTO didn't do it though.

i always hated the registration/inpsection stickers on the windshield there..

Thats why I run mine side by side REALLY low on the windsheild,,,,,they don't show as much and its still legal.

Don'tthink they offered 6-speed in those years either but wasn't 100% on that. In fact I thought for a few years in that era there wasn't even a manual option.

Thats an amazing price for all that work, especially on a vette. Im about to spray my car with HOK candy apple red. Best paint in the world IMO. I bet the vette looks awesome in person with that flake.
