So the SQ is a little under the W7

what about the SPL how does that rate does it make you shake and wanna cray for your mommy????? if so then this is the sub for me i want something that kills with the boom boom

Alright everyone, I just heard the Sx, and I must say that I am very impressed. For the most part, the woofer plays the whole bottom octave with precision, punchiness, and authority. You will notice in tracks like "Saturday Afternoon" by Blaze the punchiness. One recognizable note in the hook made my chest hurt. Also, songs like "Pass Me Da Green" by Master P accentuate the more "boomy" type of bass. I must say that I was very impressed with that as well.

The overall sound quality is very good and the SPL is nice as well...

We may need to mess with the gains and such.....(I didn't look at them), but overall very very impressed. Adam should be competing soon...

it's very loud, seems to be breaking in more and more every time I play it. I would rather have this sub than a W7 because it's about 1/2 the price.

Put a lil carpet over the box and you'll be set. My 2 12"s have pretty good SQ as well. I need a new HU since all the RCA's in em are fried. Hopefully we could meet up sometime and compare them.

that box is huge i bet that thing rattles everything, how do you think 2 12 xxx's would sound compared to that beast im hoping to get mine in about 2-3 weeks if my job comes through

I don't think this sub will be quite as loud in terms of SPL as a Power HX2 because the HX2 is strictly an SPL sub. The SX is a great SQL woofer.

Yes, I built the box. Doesn't need any bracing as of now...no flexing yet.
