alright i got my subs today...2 RE HCs 12"s....the wait on the SEs was 3 weeks and these were only 200 a piece //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i'm going with a sealed box because i don't have the room for ported......but i need some ideas on amps.... soooo help me out...... i had no idea these things came in wooden crates i can't wait to bump them just wanted to share my news and i'm looking for some help on this amp

Where did you find them? They have been disontinued for a while.

Anyways, sweet ass subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have 2 15's myself. Still no power for them though. I would suggest about 2kw+ at 2 ohms for those. Viper 2500D, Orion 2500D are a few options but there are many many more.

The subs can handle 1500w easily each, but 1 Hifonics Brutus 1500d amp will suffice. Get two of those and it'll look sexy as hell if you attach them to the walls of your car facing out towards the trunk. Or behind your seats and fold them down, which is where i'm putting mine once I get my new subs.

this guy in brooklyn, the only dealer any where remotely close to me ...black market audio.... had like 6 or 7 left (let me know if any of you are in need because i would have no problem hooking someone up if they can't find them)....but yea one bx1500d would work?? i was only supposed to be powering two SEs but looks like things have changed for the better i would love to run 2000watts butt any amp i have been looking with that power is dough..... but hey keep the suggestions comming and im gonna get to work on this box...but first im going to seal up my trunk real nice :thumbsup thanks guys

yeah that amp should be fine. I'm running my 15" HC off of only 350. Not sure how much more it can take. Looks as if it's moving quite a ****ing bit.

As I always say, port your HC's. I would only use one of them and make a ported box.... you will get as much if not more output with one correctly built ported box, and you will save yourself a lot of watts powering only one.

But then again, I don't know anything about audio.

If you got the 12's you really should be porting them. I have the dual 15's and I put one in a sealed box and the low end wasn't all that great (the 12 would be even worse). They really come to life in a ported box. Low end in the sealed box lacks severly. 1 ported will should way better then 2 sealed anyday with the HC and will only need like half the power. jemorgan85 is like the HC master so I would listen to him. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well thats an idea mr.escobar . then u wont have to worry about getting alll that power and not being able to port the subs cuz the 3 series trunk is so small. i must say i go 1 12" ported of 1k+ watts. that would be much better than 2 12's sealed off gobs of power.

For an HC12, I'd suggest about 2ft^3 per driver. Factor in port and driver displacement as well.
