well drove to town tonight to pick it up and i wanted to hear it in his car(Goldtaz) he has a XX goliath i believe going to it...WOW that thing was loud i couldnt hardly stand to be in it and i usually listen to the XXX loud but that was crazy, it sounded great in his car and we put it in mine and it was loud but not like his car, a single a3000 wont do it, im ordering another one soon

i could tell his MT didnt have a peaky roll off up high like my XXX does, but his box was tuned high and the MT didnt get near as low, it was very surprising i thought it would still do the lows almost as good as the XXX but wasnt even close but im building a new box within a week or two tuned to like 32hz with 90sq inches of port about 7 cubes maybe more *what would be a good size box for an 18 pretty much daily only with a few comps thrown in but not often enough for it to matter, it needs to hit lows good and everything else*

i think i have some cancelation now because i can go to the back and listen and it hits the lows but up front there are hardly any i cant really hear them, i will try to see tomorrow

if i put the port on the bottom and face the sub sideways would it make it worse or better

Mt's are really loud and do sound okay for daily

sub on top and port along the bottom, thats how i have my daily setup. i think like ~120in^2 port area that way.

yea thats how it will be on my new box soon, but for now would port on bottom and sub sideways be bad, it is really loud chinny, kills the XXX i wasnt expecting that much, it was hard to sit in

im doing like 36Wx19Hx28D

that is 9.2 cu ft before port now if i do a 34.5"x3" crx style port on the bottomhow much will this leave me left for sub displacement and airspace? anyone help me? port will be 103sq inches tuning of 33hz ish aboput 26" long right?

I am certainly more than willing to help you with a new box. I would suggest something like ngsm13. I think that would be the ideal box for the low lows.
