Incorrect. Doesnt work that way with DC current. They will gradually get less and less bright....or you could just think of em like sub coils... 4ohm + 4ohm series = 8 ohm. 3v + 3v + 3v +3v series = 12v ftw
Think of it this way. 4 3v resistors, the first is receiving 12v and drops the voltage to 9v, the next sees 9v and drops it to 6v and then ext sees 6 and drops it to3 and the last drops it 3v so the total voltage in is equal to total voltage drop over the circut.
Current will be constant so none of them will blow but the first will be the brightest and the last will be the least bright.
Best idea is to use resistors and wire them in parallel or wire 2 in series maximum with a resistor. Also run them at 1/4-1/2 their rated voltage. 3v resistors will be plenty bright with 1.5v and they will last MUCH longer running on 1.5v compared to being ran at a full 3v.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
