Well I got my GXA1000D Tsunami yesterday. It really is a great amp for what I paid (120 ebay). At first I didnt realize that monoblock amps are internally bridged so I was like WTF?? Then I realize that the 2 channels were only to make the wiring easier. So I wired up the subs (dual 4ohms) in a 1ohm config. and they sound great. Not to mention the amp came in pristine condition and with ALL origonal packing and accesories. So if anyone is looking for a tried and true 1000wrms amp and doesn't want to spend a ton, check out this seller on ebay.

Trust me, you wont be dissapointed. Excellent quality and super fast shipping.

I think the amp would work great for those subs. It wont be putting out 1000w with 2ohms impedance. If Im not mistaken I beleive it does 500X1 at 2ohms. So basically your going to be running right about RMS for those subs. It should sound great. Also, in the future if you want to upgrade you can always get 4ohm DVC's and use the full 1000w. Like I said, I recommend this amp from personal experience so thats all I can do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

P.S. An amp that is 1ohm stable is just that... 1ohm stable. There are VERY few amps out there that can do .5ohms mono. If you run your dvc's with your voice coils in parallel and then wire that to the amp you will be at .5ohms and you will see smoke real quick like. If you wire the voice coils in series (+ to -, + to amp, - to amp) then you'll be at 2ohms and be ok.

This sucks ever since that deal everyone is gonna have a Hc..I wanted to be one of the few with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif O well

The board is the same as the Lanzar Vibe 1200D. They've been indepently tested to do about 450 at 4 ohms. 750 at 2 and 1200 @ 1.

Initially (2001) the design had some technical problems, but by the 3rd build they were ironed out. Being recent refurbs I would expect them to be solid products.

Hope we get some follow up reviews to see if they last.
