Got my doors deadened! Z6's in an Explorer...

What they looked like before in the sealed kicks...

Dirty *** door, had to clean that shit up.

Cleaned it up.

Left door done. Took about an hour per door, with double layers near the speaker hole.

I made sure to take the time to do inside the panel as well, turned out really good. I used about 25 sq feet on each door, inside the panel and outside the panel.

I used some non-hardening clay to support around the baffles. Works really good to seal the opening.

I'm pretty happy with the finished product. I may move the tweeters around and tweak with it a little more, but overall, it went pretty well.

Summer's coming up, tons of trips to the lake and stuff, so people need their foot room, plus it was something I've been wanting to do for a while. I've got another front stage project coming up, so we'll see how that turns out.

Yup, that's the next on the to-do list...
The main difference is a bit less punchy in the mid region, but I adjusted the x-over to about the high 60hz region, where it was about 75'ish before. My doors still flex a little bit, but overall, they seem to get a bit lower in the doors as well.

The tweeters are in a better location, so they are a lot clearer sounding than before. I'll be trying out a few more locations with them soon (double sided tape FTW).
