Got my Boston G5's... should I radiate?

I have been running my Boston G5 12's for a couple of weeks now. I have them powered by a Kicker SX900.2 and they are in a sealed box. I love the response of the Bostons but I am wanting them to go a good deal lower. I have been giving serious thought to running them with a pair of the Boston GTR passive radiators. Anyone have any experience with these? I would just run a ported box but space is an issue and supposedly you can run the GTR's in the sealed box dimensions. Will the GTR's allow the G5's to hit much lower?

I think Horned Frog is serious. A decent ported box will give you good efficiency, and shouldn't need passive radiators. If space is a big issue, consider Isobarik loading.

I've played with Transmission Lines, Bandpass, and other crazy styles, but they don't make a huge difference... take some time to test-n-tune the perfect ported box (assuming you have space), and it'll save you time, and all the number crunching... If you're into SQ comps, you'll probably have the EQ to dial it in.

Either way, it's not easy, or cheap to get a great SQ system.

Unbelievable.

What I was saying, was that PR setups don't have much space difference from ported... so in some situation, it may be a good option, but it wouldn't be my choice. Tends to be a waste of $$ unless done perfectly. That's all.

Boston G5's are terrific subs. They seem to get better as time goes on. That is my experience. It would also seem to me that proper tunning is really the way to go. It can be a bit teadious, but well worth it. Those subs will ooze of sound quality. I love my G5. They will get mighty low too.
