Just got my kicker 1000.1 (factory remanufactured) from ups today. Just got home to open it, took it out of the box and sounds like something is loose on the inside sliding from one end to the other. Whats even worse is i got it from hifisoundconnection and saw the horrible reviews on trying to get a hold of them last nite on here. Should i try to open it up to see whats loose or try to deal with them on it. Just my luck to slow down my install. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

Ok, good news is it was only a screw. But i don't know if the screw was just put in by mistake or came off something. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I just took off one side, but might as well take off the other to see. I'm getting this professionally installed in probably week and half away so then i'll see if it works. I don't have any wiring or nothing to test it out. It came with a 90 day warranty so i should be ok. I'll open the other side to take the top off and see if anything is loose. Thanks for the help:)

Edit : One question though. Has this happened to anyone else, loose parts or screws inside the amp?

I got the cover off and all the spots that have a screw symbol have one. Although one was just about to come out. I'm kind of wondering about these refurbs.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Edit : Well i was pulling on the board and i found where the screw was missing from, on the side by the rca's. Was under the top part of the board, hard to get at. I remember someone saying these refurbs were quadruple checked before they left the warehouse. I highly doubt they did that with this one with a screw just thrown in and another just about to come out.

ive had that before with a viper 2500 and my ia 20.1. it happens. both worked like champs. dont worry about that shit. put the screws where they go, power it up. if it powers up and doesnt shut off or go into protect when your bumping hard your good. shouldnt even bug you.
