I did the same thing when I had a few 4hp's... but I just used scotch brite and simple green and got the same results

Going beyond 2500 grit in sandpaper is gonna be a waste imo. If you want to go finer than that, move to a liquid (polish).

Mothers' mag wheel polish + powerball = all that work in 1/10th of a time.

I wasnt impressed with the powerball i only used it on my rims, though... thanks for the comment either way

I dont have any current plans for this motor. It was just sitting around, and i wondered what i could do to make it look better..
