The fact that is a standard overhung design, and the fact that the design has not changed in many years. ID payed for initial tooling costs years ago, yet the price has not dropped. Its much the same complaint I have against the W7. You might scoff at my reasoning, but keep in mind Im not saying the IDMax is a bad design (far from it). Id just like to see an updated design at best, or a price drop at worst.No i am not banned here lol...
Hey and what technology do you consider that the idmax uses? A thin and small diameter coil for low inductance?
As for looks, they are still one of the most elegant looking subwoofers on the market.
