Got a "windows defender" program/virus thats owning my pc, how to remove??

Aparently my computer got a virus, 2 days ago it went crazy and this windows defender program came outta knowwhere and kept popping up aparently being a windows genuine antivirus software, but it was a virus and a scam to get ur credit cards.

So now Ive got this **** program and it always seems to be running no matter what, I cant get rid of it. Its not in the control panel add/remove programs list. It pops up with every move I make and says sites are restricted and svrewed up my googles search etc.

How do I get rid of this stupid program!??!?! Ive already got adaware and spybot search n destory and they say my pc is clear of this type of crap when obviously its not

This is on xp if it matters.

It's found on the **** sights.

You need to start your PC in safe mode and run something like spyware search and destroy to remove it or you will never get rid of it. Even this may not remove it, but it's no cost to you so worht a try.

I would just reformat your computer... Try malwarebytes anti-malware if you can install it... if that doesn't get rid of it fully then chances are nothing will fully get rid of it.

try Avast, and Malwarebytes for defense

I think I had this too at one point, and it was a PITA to get rid of. But I didnt have to wipe clean. I havent had anything on my puter since I started running Avast though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

As long as it stops popping up giving me warning on every page and making crazy sounds Im happy

Wish there was an easy walkthrough, I checked google for removal, couldnt find a valid link at all that was in common english!!

That's funny, because I just removed this exact same virus from a laptop less than a month ago. I found the tutorial on google and it was easy as h*ll to follow...

malwarebytes+superantispyware+avira antivirrun all 3
lol worst advice ever.. Your comp is probably running in circles.. I run kapersky.. You have to buy it but my Gfs dad works with comps and gets all kinds of shit free.. got me windows 2007, kapersky, he got windows 7 etc all free.. If i didn't get windows 7 free anyways I would get it off him.. it closes all ports into your comp and won't let shit in without your notice.. annoying sometimes but not really.. much better than dealing with a virus.. stops everything

Good luck. I dealt with that on a computer last week and it was easier to reformat the computer. Even after deleting the offending processes, traffic was still being rerouted to Germany. It attached itself to explorer.exe and other system processes, so it wasn't even worth trying to get rid of. Just reformat.
