got a question for you audio guys??

so for my box dimensions i have about 26 long 17.5 wide and 25-30 deep

i am either looking at 2 12's, 1 15, or 1 18 and the 15 and 18 is if there is enough air for them

so can someone lead me in the right direction if there is enough air for anyone of those what would be the loudest

26 x 17.5 x 30 works out to 7.8 cubes. That would be external, about 7 cubes internal figuring 3/4" walls. That would prolly be about big enough for the average pair of 12's ported, or 15's sealed.

BTW... length x width x height / 1728 = cu ft.

i was looking at 2 12's cvx or l7 ported ,2 15's sealed or ported cxv or l7 or one 15 ported fia audio, or one 18 fi audio sealed or ported

basically whatever i have room to put in and get the most out of it and be really loud and be able to hear from a long way away

go to kicker's website and it will give you a suggested airspace for sealed and ported boxes for those subs

that should give you your answer

My above statements were meant as very general. Different subs have different requirements, you might find some larger subs that fit your criteria. The tuning point and port area you want would also greatly affect what size you could run, if you went ported of course.

With that space I could see running an 18 sealed. 15's or one 18 ported? I dunno. Some people swear by running subs in small ported boxes with lots of power. That would also depend on tuning, and desired results from your system. *shrug*

edit: Hoffman's Iron Law states you can get away with a smaller enclosure, and still retain good low-end. This would affect would sub you chose. Are you prepared to throw alot of power at the subs? Do you want low-end response, or SPL output?

well if i go 2 12's plan onn getting a 1500.1 kicker anything else i plan on throwing a 2500.1 kicker amp to them
