Got a package today!!

Got my new mids, (4) Eminence 8"s. I have a set of RSD 6.5 mids on the front doors right now. I'm going to put 1 in each front door and 1 in the rear 6x9 holes in the back for now. I eventually want to put 2 in each door. I have a pair of PA NX-5 tweeters in the kick panels and a set of RSD tweets in the factory dash speaker location. The Eminence and the NX-5's will be ran off my AQ4X90. I am going to put the door speakers in tommoroow and will post my opinions and some pics.





I also just got my car two toned and here is a pic, although not a great one.

Cool, be something different. Eminence dont get alot of love on here, but im usually open to a opinion on them from people.

I gonna try em out. If I dont like em. I'll move on. As far as the amp goes, it seems to have a lot of power, and Ive been very happy with it. I have the AQ2200d running the 3 tens right now, just waiting for AQ to get the dual 2 HDC315's back in stock so I can get one. Basically Im trying to get the highs to keep up with the sub (once i get it), because I know that a Magnum with a HDC315 off a 2200D should get loud.

You have 10 speakers playing your mids and highs...sounds like a disaster IMO. Have you ran midbass drivers behind you before? I had a little success by having some right behind my front seats, ported at 50hz with mid firing up and port firing forward.

I have been confused on this....so you are running passive correct?

I was thinking that you had to run active if yur not using a crossover, or are you just using the amps crossover?

this guy local to me, has a "wall" of 18 speakers, all mids/highs.. powered by a crunch amp (he rolled his eyes when he told me the amp name) and it sounds horrid.. and he only has a single sub to go with all of that, 15" i think it was..

I am only using the eq on the radio and the xover on the amps right now. I want them to be loud but if they sound like a$$ they will be coming back out. Im not thrilled about the ones going behind me right now, but Im putting the ones in the doors first to see how they sound. I will also be deadening the doors at the same time. The RSD mids are just not loud enough, but they do give decent midbass. Im worried that these 8"s will be loud with no midbass.

Yeah these are the sealed backs. Thoses wouldnt have been the ones i would have preferred but I got a good deal on them.

What kind of car? Are fiberglassed in? If so who did the doors, I see your in my area?

Ive only seen one other set around here so far. I bought them off ebay so Im sure there are alot of them on the streets. Most of the Mags around Cleveland have chrome wheels, especially on the Eastside.
