got a new (to me) Benz. How to approach audioz

thanks brah! yeah this car rides like a dream. The short ram intake I did made the exhaust sound a little more throaty which is nice and it supposedly runs 12s in the quarter from the factory. It doesn't feel soo fast since im used to 9-10 second cars and nothing feels super fast from the drivers seat but its a nice ride for sure. I probably look like a douche for sporting it around campus but i talked myself into a great deal on it with low payments and no interest from somebody I know so it's all good.

That dash looks like a major PITA. Like someone else said id see if isimple or PAC has an interface for it, then get yourself a nice EQ and line driver and youll be set. BTW if you think that car rides good you should ride in some old american cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif then youll see what ride quality is. IMO the late 70s-early 90s was the true height of the luxury era. The huge body on frame cars with the auto leveling air suspension and whatnot will be the most comfortable ride, ever.

My grandma has a similar car, its an 08 SL500. Dont know much about it other than it was expensive, but even she said it didnt ride as good as my girlfriends $100 1984 crown victoria, lol. I remember she told me something happened with the antenna in hers, and it was almost 2000$ to repair. super lulz.

You should put some deep dish 20" irocs on it, **** would be slick.

Edit : quick search found a few things.

yeah man I cant get away from the idea of some nasty deep dishes!!

Girlfriends Ma drives an SL500 and it is nice too.

When i say nice though, i dont mean that it floats.. lol yes a late 80s early 90s crown vic is a heavy car on a soft suspension with fat tires so it will feel like its floating.. but these cars are tight, very smooth in accel and decel very very smoothly but powerfully. they have a hydraulic suspension that you can raise and lower at the push of a button and is also very tight in "sport" mode and a little less firm in "non-sport"

also they are insulated very well so there is no road noise. I raced my buddy in his BMW 323 and it was the quietest race EVER //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I am lookin for some nice rims to put on this bish so i can roll like a gangsta. hah

also, yes it is very easy to AMG swap a lot of the parts. I could essentially build the motor up a little with some AMG or other aftermarket 5.0 parts but i will be spending a lot of money to make a house move a little quicker. It's just not worth it to me.

I'll keep my 87 fox coupe for speed. this is just my elegant daily. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I disagree on the Irocs, but some 20s or 21s would be sick. Especially 20s in the front and 21s in the rear, but that would be mucho dinero. And come on, those cars rode smooth as hell, but couldnt hit a corner to save its life. Benz is a luxury, PERFORMANCE brand, not a luxury GRANDPA mobile. Lol.

yeah, checked out new dubz on craigslist in dallas and some nice deep ditches are going to run from 1-3k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

haha thanks. yeah ill be replacing the pads and rotors myself. its going to cost around 250 to do it but thats not too bad i guess... just for the front. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
