Not to thread hijack but I too have a neon (srt, same diff) and looking to build a whole new system. Figure maybe if I posted what I was planning I could get some feedback which may help the OP as well.

HU: Alpine iDA-x100 (new ipod one)

Front: PG RSDs with 2x150w rms amp @ 4ohm. No idea what brand amp at this point

Sub: JL 12W6v2 (or IDQ12v3) with PG X600.1 Amp

Sound Deadener: Dynamat or similar on doors, maybe trunk too

Pricing out this whole thing is around $1200-$1500 for all the components listed.

Im mostly worried if the RSDs will mount (depth wise) and if I could put the tweeters in the stock srt4 location or if that will **** ***. And if I cant then how I will go about mounting.

The tweets will sound like shit reflecting off the windshield. A-pillar or sailpanel mounting works quite well. The mids are probably going to be too deep for the stock holes in the doors. I know that mine were. Built out pods are about the only way to get a decently deep mid in the door without it hitting the window on the back and the doorpanel on the front.

to get a box to fit a 15" ported, i had to take off my back seat, and it fit in there snuggly...that box was 4.5cu ft after displacement and port...and i also put my tweets in the sailpanel.

theres a rubber grommel on the drivers side u can run your power wire throu, it's big enuff to run 1/0g wire throu it.

That grommet is big enough for dual runs of 1/0 actually, speaking from experience.

any idea the door hole depth? Maybe I wont look into RSDs if it requires a bunch of modification. If its minimal and is that noticable its no big deal.
