Google earth

I noticed the same problem. I can zoom in on hartford CT, but when I try to find my house it doesn't work. I have found my friends houses before. I guess just some of the lower populated areas they don't really care about.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

K i'm guessing its blurry cuase everyone hates iowa //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ....Does that microsoft program have the same problem? and would the 20 version of google earth clear up most of the blury areas?

any other free programs out there like this with better resolution?? or would upgrading the google one give me better resolution cuase when i get some extra cash i would deff. wnat to, really cool program...

I think the clarity just depends on location. One program or source may have better pictures than others...but in the end I think the government is keeping the good stuff from us. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

In the free version only certain places can you zoom totally in....like large cities....rural areas arent accesable
Er, I can see the house I just moved from. Rural? Find the military housing complex on Sicily, north of Caltagirone, east of Mineo and south of Paterno/Belpasso. I can even see my Tahoe. Maybe 3/4 sq mile total, 30miles away from the base in the middle of a valley and farms.

I have lived all over the palce, and have friends all over the place, and I have found that some places, it just simply does not have close-ups of. My house here in Va is blurry and nothing is updated from years ago, but my cousins house in BFE is, with thier new fence and all. It just depends on where you're looking, that's all.

I think you will still run into the same problems, simply because the earth is a big *** palce, and it takes a while to get coverage of the whole place in a picture format, especially one where you can zoom in with clarity. They also have to do some scanning of the pics, as anyone could imagine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

They all basically get their photos from the same place, which is satellites. If a satellite hasn't been pointed in your area and high res super zoom photos taken, then you won't get them no matter which program you use. If you are in an area that was just developed in the past 5-10 years, then it is touch and go on whether the area has been documented by satellite recently.
Heres my hood.

That pic is 1.5 years old.
