I just saw this movie on campus, its about the war on iraq, given from the soldiers view. 2 men followed a squad(or whatever theyre called..7 men or so) during 6 weeks of their stay in Felluja (sp) iraq, January of 2004.
The movie shows the soldiers realizing that the war is just a big lie, and they are just there to protect the oil.
"I mean iraq said that theyre gonna pay us back some of the money for rebuilding the country..but that money is going to Haliburton.. put two and two together and its hard to believe in anything(refering to the war on terrorism).
It shows how the soldiers realize that we seriously are just invading these people, and that they aren't all these "terrorists running in the streets" like we think there is.
I do a poor job of representing the movie, but plainly put, even the soldiers in iraq know this war is BS. It shows on so many levels how this war is a complete lie, and there is no reason there except, and I quote, by an officer instructing soldiers on a mission "we are here to protect ourselves". The officer was trying to make them produce answers as to why they were there (in iraq) and he could give none, except to protect themselves.
Invading Fallujah didn't liberate any people. Watch this movie and you will see that the reason these people were attacking us( at that moment in time,in fallujah) is because we were there.
Watch/rent/whatever this movie if you believe in the war on terrorism. Don't give any rebuttles discrediting the movie itself until you have seen it. The co-director was killed last week, so if you see the movie, only one director will be presenting it.
