Good Radar Detectors?

I am looking to get a good radar detector that falls between th $100 and $200 range. I dont really know too much about them and was hoping for some enlightenment on them and a good one to buy.

my radar detector picks up laser....

it just depends on what area you live in. In my part of CA, cops tend to use the KA Band alot

you should get a laser jammer, and some veil.

Might run you 350 or so but these things WORK. A detector will only tell you you are about to get a ticket. A Jammer gives you 5-10 seconds of time to slow down before your speed can be recorded.

Do you have trouble with the display control holding a charge if it sits in the vehicle for a few days without use?

Not really, it lasts a few days usually with constant use. . It holds its charge well when its not being used.. It comes with the hardwire kit if you decide to hardwire it in, which is smart. I usually plug the remote/ display in every couple of days.

Its a great unit, very easy to use. Yours wont have it, but its also nice that mine has the gps locator, and it tells you about camera enforced redlights, and ect.

I have the same unit in my Saleen.....The brain is hardwired...but I don't drive the car but once every week or two...usually when I get in the wirless controller is dead...even if I shut it off on a full charge the last time I used it,,......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
