there is no such a thing as mainstream metal. The reason bullet, killswitch engage, trivium, all that remains, it dies today and shadows fall sell albums and are recognized around the world is because they are the best at what they do.

People are stupid saying that metal can be mainstream. When do you ever listen to metal on the fm you retards. The reason there is no station for metal is because none of it sells the way other actual mainstream stuff does.

Lol no station on FM that plays metal? Where the hell do you live? Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying and Bullet for My Valentine are all our rock radio plays.. stfu. You don't even know what mainstream means obviously, or you live in a town where listening to Atreyu and Cute Is What We Aim For makes you hardcore, **** you.

I have some Type R's 10 but moving to Re's for better SQ so i hear.

I love KsE, they're amazing.

Adam Dutkiewicz is a world renowned producer who graduated with multiple degrees form berkeley including bass guitar and engineering, and played drums first for killswitch and now plays guitar, the dude is phenomenal.

Howard Jones is ridiculous as well, his range is great and so are his screams, but his opera-ness sort of gets on my nerves..

And Pantera was never as mainstream as KsE, Pantera's just amazing.. please stop discussing metal and go back to listening to Queen coverbands

How many times does it have to be said, just because its popular does NOT make it good. With that said, Killswitch has made a name for themselves, but I'm sick of hearing them at this point. All I hear from them on the radio is their cover of holy diver.

I have some Type R's 10 but moving to Re's for better SQ so i hear.

I highly recommend porting some SE's if your looking for getting loud and retaining some SQ. Friend has some ported, and I was very impressed.
