would the mtx 801d be a good choice?

depends the model L7 you have are they dvc 2 or dvc 4. Is the mtx amp you want to get modded to drop down to a 1ohm load, because factory they are rated at a final 2ohm load.

i dont have the l7 yet, but which version (dual 2 or dual 4) will work with that amp (giving it a 2 ohm load)

To get a 2ohm final load you would need a pair of dvc 2ohm subs

i only plan on getting one though, so if i get the dual 4 ohm this will give me a two ohm load correct?
