If people can't get their Starbucks or their health care payed for they sure do whine.

Anyway, from my perspective two things. First off, high unemployment (as in people on government handouts) just means that companies are cutting the fat. What I mean is they are reducing the flubber and some people don't want to work. There are always jobs, but they might not be jobs you want to do. If it came down to cleaning bathrooms for a living or taking government money I would be the first one in line with my tooth brush asking for an application.
