Good jobs in todays economy?

Federal agent (border patrol)! 100k within 6 years, you won't get laid off, better offers for loans, and no experience is necessary. Deadline is 39 years old though.

How old is he? Does he have a degree? He might be ****ed, unless he can get a similar type job that he had, or if he doesn't mind flippin burgers.
57, he's probably ****ed. I think he went to college, but I don't know if he has a degree.

At that age, he pretty much find something in the same related field. Even college graduates haven't been able to get jobs the last few years because if you have a college graduate with no experience and a person with 5 years experience doing the same thing, you'd probably take the guy that's been doing it for awhile. Too many people in the job market and no new jobs.

good luck man.

healthcare is a good place to look. Lots of old ppl in FLA needing looking after.

I work in the health care, in a way.

stop fvcking crying. unemployment is way under 10%. 50% of that 10% are still on unemployment to get another 6 months of vacation. people lose jobs in any economy. this economy has affected the rich far more than the poor. we live in the whiniest, crybaby society in history.

Well, last Friday my dad got laid off from a job he's had the past 25 years. It was at a PVC injection molding facility. He's got machinist skills, but that's about it really. I'm not sure what his plans are in looking for a new job, but my mom and I think he should take some classes at the local community college. I know there is an aquaculture program with 100% job placement, but I'm not sure how that field is doing with todays economy. Are there any up and coming fields that will have decent job security in the upcoming hard times?
Yes

Unemployment is the highest it has been since 2003. The rates also don't reflect all the people who no longer qualify for unemployment.
