Good job, forum.

Honestly, I just found it really boring. Every topic was this sub vs. that one, how much does this cost.. etc. Not to say these things shouldn't be discussed, but there's more exciting things to talk about, which is finally starting to happen. Yay!

i agree. i hated seeing the "this sub VS. this sub" topic over and over, typically about 4 times on the same page, by 4 different people who can't even look around the forum to see whats already established about what they're questioning. but it is starting to get better

It does **** answering the "is my Sony X-plode amp any good?" questions over and over.

I like questions about fiberglass technique and sound damping methodology. Advanced installs are where its at!

Werd, i think it's turning for the better...a little. STILL not what it used to be...from when i started browsing here and around when i joined. Gotta a lot of post *****s...who joing and make like 5 million posts...def. like the quality people around. SO, the more exeperienced can entertain eachother...while the newbs ask questions too. peace

I agree with you that the Advanced installs are where its at. I really enjoy seeing trick installs with motorization, fiberglass and lighting done right...

However, the noobs gotta learn too...

Some aspects of Car Audio I think I know a lot about....

Some I know nothing about.... Right now, I'm finding out I know nothing about ported/vented enclosures...

speaking as a newbie, I personally skip reading threads where it's like "is this better than that" without any general reasons behind asking the question. I like discovering how stuff works and how to do stuff over just "what to buy" type threads. LIke the sealed/ported misconception thread - wow! Any other historical threads like this, where people discuss something on a general basis and not have to bring up brand X and brand Y, etc?

Then again I'm a newbie. Generally when I'm new to a forum I'll just lay low for a while, but on this forum, it's hard to! I look and see I have like 80 posts and I know within those 80, that less than 10 have to do with me helping someone out - and I'm like...I ask too many questions! But the help you guys provide is highly valued in my mind; especially from you guys with thousands of posts!

I hope to look back, say a year from now, and reflect on my newbish questions and laugh and call myself a dumbass!
