good ideas for neons or strobes in car

i am open to any suggestions on how to set up some neons or strobes in my car besides the usual under the seats so anything that isnt seen to often

yea i was thinking about doing that w/ the small neons one of my friends has it and it looks awsome but i want something that will let out a little more of a glow, but thanx for the suggestion

i know u can get the ones that go to the beat at http://www.pepboys.com but i dont know how much cheaper they r than other places i went to the store and they were around 30 for 15 inchers

Thats a great idea about the neons in the heater vents, I might have to try that one. hey matt, how many vents do you have in your car, and did you hook em up with a switch?

i have 5 vents. i got 1 on the driver side, 2 on the passanger side and 2 in the middle.

and ive got 4 neons so 1 on my side, 2 in the middle and 2 on the right side. they are neo blues and yes they are hooked up to a switch. but they arent hooked up right now, i need to rerun my wire.

I didn't get a fine or charge of any kind just a kind warning to take the **** out of my dash.

I talked to a nice local cop here, and around here she said as long as the color of the neon isnt red or blue they were ok to have, but if they were thay could charge you with impersonating a police officer.

look on ebay for leds, i got em for like $3 each, i put 2 under each 1/2 of the dash and 1 in each vent, and it glows very bright

Ahh i forgot about LEDs. A very good alternative to neon.

ok, heres my setup. i have one black light just between the bumper and hood of my cavi, and i have two blues at the top of my trunk, so you cant see the light. just the glow on the subs. and i have them all wired to the ignition switch so they go on when i start the car. the black light looks great goin down the road. thank god for those plastic zippy holder things
