I'm thinking about picking this up! Looks like a good unit and im trying to stay under 200 bucks. If not, whats a good SQ HU with 4v pre-outs?

I think you'd be happy with that unit. I just picked up a 790 and it has really killer sound quality.

At first I was like....a KDC-X890 for under $160 before shipping?

Then I noticed it is a refurb. Not a bad thing entirely inandofitself, though...

I picked up my X790 on Ebay for $130 with shipping BNIB. Don't know how I managed that. Just not enough bidders I guess.

I wish I could lay claim to having gotten a similar deal on my XXV-01D but I can't. I wanted a valid manufacturer's warranty (2 years on eXcelon decks as opposed to the 'regular' Kenwood line which comes with a 1 year) so I sourced mine through Crutchfield.

I honestly would have preferred the warranty as well. I had never purchased this type of thing from Ebay before for that very reason. But I saw this on Ebay and decided to bid, and to my surprise no one at all bid after me.
