Good headunits compatible with something other than iPod

hey all

im getting a new headunit, and i was looking into the Alpine 9885's and stuff, but im not sure if i can use the Samsung K5 that i have to play through my car stereo with it. Im not really sure what im looking for when it comes to this, but i dont want to buy an ipod just so i can listen to it and pay a buck a song with my headunit.

Any ideas?

buy the alpine unit and get the versatile link adapter, you can connect anything to it then.

for the Samsung K5, use the headphone port adapted to RCA - then buy the RCA to AI-Net adapter from alpine and plug into the versatile link.

You can also get a usb adapter for Pio's and Alpines. It will work like an mp3 disk iirc.
