I heard about the CLARION DXZ785USB With like 6v preouts. Any other headunits you would recommend with some good eq settings?

As well as that JVC only has 2v preouts for the sub. I got my Alpine 9886 for $150. Just shop around for deals.

It also has 2v output on the sub channel (not that you still wont get full power from an amp).

It does have some nice DSP features though.

There are quite a few Kenwood Excelon units under $200, any of them would be a good buy.

If i got the jvc i would just use aux in from the touch. Or just use my old 80 gig fatpod

I don't think that the JVC has a 24-bit DAC, does it? I can't find it anywhere.
