Good grief, now you all have me worried!!!!!!!!!!!

While in Va, my wife decided she wanted a lil 8inch subwoofer to go in her altima. So "no hate please" i had some money in paypal and ordered a Skar vvx8 from wooferstech. It came in the normal brown cardboard box that says made in china skar audio what have you. Anyways I still havent hooked it up and its in a box made for it tuned to spec. anyways my question is

1. How do I know if I recieved a New skar vvx8

2. How do I tell if its a so called "b stock"

3. Also Im not 100% on what exactlly "b stock" is.

Im just seeing alot on sundown posts and skar posts including wooferstech and other ebay companys. So i may be asking the wrong questions here or may not be making to much sense just curious if i could get a few answers n help.

If it looks brand new, it might be brand new.

if it has quality defects, or looks used... it's probably B stock.

B stock would typically be woofers that failed quality control testing or that have physical defects.

If it works, don't worry about it. B-stock is typically scratched or excess glue or something from manufacturing. Typically it'll work the same, but have some slight cosmetic defect.

It's times like these that I wish @West was still around.

In all seriousness, it's all been said. B-stock is usually either a display model, or a model with some sort of cosmetic defect that voids it from being 'Brand New'. The whole B-stock thing came up when SKAR shipped a B-stock subwoofer to a customer who ordered a new one - whether that be on accident or on purpose, well, we'll never know.

If you don't see any cosmetic flaws, the thing's probably brand new.

ok, cool thanks full tilt. I still havent taken it out and examined it clearly but im hoping buying it from wooferstec and them stating it was new i hope it is
