Good first AMP?

Im getting my License around the end of November. I have a '95 Ford Escort LX with 60k miles on it.

Im planning on getting a nice sound system but literally know nothing about them. I plan on getting subs/new speakers/the whole 9 yards.

My budget for the whole sytem is 500-600 bucks, (preferably 5).

What would be a good AMP to go with?

Almost every part of my system is used, you will get 2x the bang for your buck if you buy used, possibly more.

Thanks, actually i just want the HU new. Im scared things might go wrong and since i have no knowledge of cars or sound im gonna have a really bad problem lol.
