good dinners to cook u know like meatloaf, also funny video i saw on tv

i cook every day.. + buy all grocerys, wife works 60 hrs a week and bro in law weighs 379 pounds.. not gonna let him get to hungry seen to many movies with cannibals on them..
He can afford to semi-starve for a few months. Might sound mean but there's serious health complications that come with being over 350lbs.... unless he's a hulking beast competing in strongman competitions.

i make this all the time,.. a bit rich in tomato, but i like tasty kibble;
two chicken hind quarters

one 28oz can crushed tomatoes (reduce by 50% for less acidity)

one 16oz can cannelini, black, or kidney beans, drained

one large chopped yellow or sweet onion

one 16oz can sweet corn, drained

one package goya 'sazon' seasoning

two packages store bought taco seasoning or your own preferred concoction of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cumin to taste. i prefer my own mix, but store bought does fine in a time constraint.

add all to crock or slow cooker, cover and simmer on high for 3 hours or low for 8 hours, remove chicken quarters and separate meat, add back to crock uncovered on high for another hour or so to thicken.

serve with chihuahua cheese on tortillas lightly cooked on skillet with oil,.. sided with home made spanish rice and canned refried beans (home made refried beans takes alot of prep and makes a huge mess) cilantro, sour cream, and raw onion is optional.
wow yeah i usually cook/fry meat 1st throw in pressure cooker (best $80 i ever spent) 15-30 mins and everything is tender ribs, bbq, cube steak don't matter..

literally just need to cut his calories down to less than 2000 and wait until he's ready to walk again. Find whatever that makes him feel full the most with the least amount of calories and feed him that. Or just drown him in veggies, its serious when you have all that kind of issues. If its his leg back and knees, he can still sit in the chair and punch sh*t aka boxing. Just do whatever you can to melt those calories off. relying on hospitals, medicine and surgery is not the healthiest way to do things man. Its fked up but you need to completely rehab him. I had to do it for a relative of mines they cursed the fk out of me but when they went down to 180 mostly muscle, pretty **** good for a 60 year old. from 326, they thanked me because not only health but they didnt have to pay up the @ss for hospital bills for weight related issues ever again.

oh i'm aware we need to starve him but hard to really do.. i've cut out al soda and chips and don't give him any thing to eat until dinner which is usually 1st time i eat he sleeps all day anywayt and i get up late cause wifes schedule.. i give him grapes at nite or popcorn instead of chips he used to eat, yeah we thought he was dead last yr.. humana ins set a nice scale free for him to weigh everyday it's hard to get him on that.. poor ins company he pays $49 a month they've paid $750k in his med bill past 6 yrs..

couple of us were talking about food on the gp thread and i run outta ideas for dinner all the time so whats good nothing spicy.. meatloaf, cubed steak, pork chops, pizza, bbq /pulled pork, chili, chicken and rice (all but pizza i do in pressure cooker) we eat these all the time.. i came up with this one get 2 cans of chicken open and warm in microwave (just to make sure it's cooked good) make salad throw chicken on it, it's like a $8 salad at restaurants.. so anything not to weird or spicy.. check out this video made me laugh

When you say "nothing spicy", do you mean "nothing hot"? There is a difference between spicy and hot. I make a homemade chili. I used to make it with hot (and I mean HOT), but now I make it with no "hotness". It is still spicy, but with no hotness. I usually make it with about 3 lbs. of ground beef. I brown the beef with 3 large chopped onions and some garlic. Then I drain the grease. Then I put in 3-24 oz. cans of whole tomatoes (which I cut into quarters...or smaller), some tomato paste, some chili powder, , some cumin, some salt, , and a little bit of cocoa. I don't use beans...I am gassy enough without them. Simmer for one hour and you're done.

It makes an awful lot of chili, but I put what I don't eat into single serving size Rubbermaid bowls and throw them into the freezer. When I get home from work and I just don't want to prepare a dinner, I take out one of the frozen bowls. I run some hot water over the bowl to get the frozen chili out of the bowl and throw it in a medium size pot. I throw the pot on the stovetop, put it on medium heat and wait about 35 minutes while I wind down from work.

You can make it spicier by adding more chili powder or you can make it less spicier by adding less chili powder. It's up to you as to how spicy you want it. But, since there are no hot peppers in it, it will NOT be hot. Like I said, there is a difference between being spicy and being hot. I guess if you do not want any spiciness to it, don't put in any chili powder.

It's really easy to make. And once frozen, it's really easy to make for yourself on those days you just don't feel like preparing a dinner.

being from the chicago suburbs with milwaukee just north of me, we have one of the biggest melting pots in the world, so we're used to having original dishes from around the world that satisfies even the most finnicky pallette,.. almost every pizza joint outside of the tri-state area advertising chicago style thin crust ive even considered having was absolute garbage if the proprietors didn't originate from here.

anyhow, i may need to try searing the meat with a light marinade before it goes in the crock with my highly seasoned 150 year old cast iron pan.

pressure cooker works well, too with this mix... in fact, the pressure cooker has become another one of those long forgotten highly versatile kitchen marvels with the advent of the microwave oven,.. mashed potatoes, stuffed green peppers, peppersteak, corned beef&cabbage, stroganoff, sloppy joe,.. just about any type of modern comfort food can be prepared in one with enough thought put into it. hell, you can't beat them when it comes to infusing meat with beer,.. i boil brats with beer in the pressure cooker before grilling, make a rue out of the dripping/beer remnants and render a gravy to smother them in,.. holy sweet tasty.

parents are old school and i never knew a time in my life where my father didnt grow all his own organic produce, but the cooking/gardening knowledge i got from them is priceless... food channel only taught me preparation and unorthodox cooking methods

i mean i use 2 mild chili packs in mine just can't take texas pete or whatever.. my step son drinks that..
I, once, made a batch using one little Carolina Reaper pepper. Now, you would think with 3 lbs. of ground beef and 3 large onions and all the rest that it could not possibly be that hot. WRONG!!! It was so hot that I went to the grocery store, picked up another lb. of beef and another large onion and made another batch of pepperless chili and threw that batch in the original "too hot" batch hoping that would cool it down a little. It did not. That is one hot pepper. I won't ever use that beast again.

you guys might need an actual nutritionist to work out a whole monthly menu for you guys man. Grapes is full of sugar and popcorn is empty calories. You need to feed him something extremely high and heavy in volume while being very low on calories. AKA sh*t that gets him full but doesnt get him fat.

Get into vegetables, beans(baked not refried) and clean protein, Lots of fiber, lots of protein and very filling foods that keep hunger satiated. Learn what macronutritrients are and learn how many calories is in each meal and actually count his calories or else you guys will get no where. He needs to stay away from carbs completley, pasta, potatoes, bread, cereal... basically anything carbs that arent natural needs to be eliminated from his diet completely, basically trains his body to use fat for fuel aka a ketogenic diet. Works best on severely overweight people.

Even if you dont let him eat the whole day, if he pigs out that one meal going over 5000 calories, he's still gonna get fat. COUNT YOUR CALORIES. thats all i can say man.
