An hour before this post you didnt even know what it was. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif The motor alone is worth $120 to someone who knows what it is.What does the broken area look like? imo ok deal. I wouldn't have paid much more for it.
It was cracked all the way through. Hoping the supports I add when the box is built will work for a whileIts most likely gonna require a new frame, which means a recone. Even hanging the sub vertically, I would expect the frame to flex under the stress it will be seeing. Its only a 4-spoke after all, and it appears one entire spoke appears cracked all the way through.
wow you really are an idiot aren't you lolz. What does the broken area look like? imo ok deal. I wouldn't have paid much more for it.
It should be fine.is the surround deformed at all from him using a clamp on it?![]()
Cast aluminum is a bitch to weld, especially without disassembling the speaker to do it. The sub is worth the effort to rebuild though, again given the right person. The OP may not decide its worth it... if so, he wont have much trouble recouping his money from someone who would. It was a good deal.would it be possible to weld that??
You can tig aluminum, but it being cast will make it more difficult (but no, not impossible). The hardest part would be not burning a hole in the soft parts while doing so. But yes, even that could be worked around I suppose.cant you tig cast aluminum? pretty easily? my brother does tig he said hes never tried it on a sub but it should be doable.
