Good Components For The $$?

Can anyone help me? I am looking for some component speakers, but have no clue on good brands? Does anyone know of any you could get that are NOT outrageously priced, I am sort of on a budget. I would say Vega's, the HED series, or the Stealth Series. I can do the stealth's for $99, and the HED's for $139, if that helps ya.
