Good car set-up?

I went to a dealer today and he told me this would be a good set-up for my 98 camaro convertible.

Front door speaker: Hybrid Audio Unity comp set

Front stage amp: Arc Audio Amp 80 x 4

Sub: 1 DD- 3510

Sub Amp: Arc Audio 1000 watts

and a ported a box to fit in my trunk.

I am using the cheaper HAT Imagine speakers (supposedly almost the same thing as Unity, but comes with a lot more primitive passive crossover) running quasi-active. I am using a 4x80watt amplifier to power woofers and tweeters. Very good sound. I would not change them. Based on Hybrid Audio documents, Unity woofer is based on Imagine, it also comes with Clarus tweeter and with a more robust crossover network for people who prefer to use passive crossovers.

I would prefer to use Imagine speakers to run active (they're cheaper, the woofer has a phase plug instead of dust cap and lower published fs than Unity), and Unity to run passive.

ok this is what he is going to charge.

$350 if i get the unity, but the imagine goes for $250 i think. $320 for the the arc audio amp. 4 gkit $155. Arc audio amp 1000 watts for $450 and $475 for the dd-3510. and $200 for the ported box.

and for the labor its $390 for all of it...

Well, that's the normal price of those speakers. Like I have said, I'd go for Imagines if you run active. Buy Unity if you want to keep the passive crossovers.
