good beach colleges.

UCSD, Cal Poly, those are my two favs. will be at cal poly in the next two semesters.
Those schools aren't even close to the beach, especially not Cal Poly. Go to http://www.ucsb.edu and check it out, we are literally ON the beach and I wake up every morning with a beautiful view of the lagoon and ocean. There are crazy parties (#4 in the nation) and beautiful women. No football team though.... =(

cal poly and ucsd are like 5-10 miles from the beach. its close enough. my sister went to ucsd and i my dad went to cal poly, where i will be going next year when i finish up at the JC. i have a friend who is at ucsb.

If you are looking at colleges simply because they are by a beach, you have some issues.
I couldnt agreee more, if this is your deciding factor on what college to choose, dont go. I would feel bad for the kids that get denied that really do want to go.

But then again the 3 people in this thread telling you not to base a college on this: Tommy, Jim, and myself all went to prestigious school.

there are lots of good schools in this country. you might as well pick one that is where you want it. i would rather go to a good school in a town that i want than a great school in the middle of nowhere.

Johnson & Wales University (Miami Campus of course) you only have school MONDAY-THRUSDAY... 3 DAY WEEKEND EVERY WEEKEND!

I feel sorry for whoever is paying your tuition though... Save money and go to comunity college and do all those core classes, english, math, stat, Econ, etc then go to a school you are interested in... Better yet give me the money that you want to throw away.
