Good Amped Rear Fill 5.25" ! ! ! ?

I want some rear fill for my car cuz I always got a lot of people in there. I was going to get tang band 5.25" subs for midbass instead, but i can't because of their depth.

Limitations are 5.25" speakers with a 2.5" mounting depth in order to fit in the stock enclosure. Won't be able to make adapters of any size without heavily modifying...

Something with some good midbass to supplement my so so substage (AQ SD2.5 12", but will be adding another one off of 2k watts soon) would be nice.

Powered off a PG x200.4...my front stage consists of a/d/s/ 345cs's which are 100wrms but i will be sending them ~150 if all goes well. so nothing too overpowering....looking for mostly midbass !

random question too. do u think my stock eletrical system will handle all this when completed? car is a '97 528i so the electrical isn't too bad. ~1600-1800watts for substage....~300watts front stage...whatever else for the rear!

i'm pretty sure BMWs come with 4 and 0 gague wiring throughout so big 3 is not necessary, but i already got a quote for an alternator and it was something like $500+, so I don't want to do that.

in terms of $$$....as little as decently possible.

Thats the only good 5.25" midbass.

Either cut the stock enclosure or invert the mids or just run some full range 5.25's

I might just have to do this, but i have no experience doing any kind of work like that and i don't really want to hack up my rear deck. If I did do this though, how would the tb's sound free air?

Full range is fine, any 5.25" with some decent midbass?

you might want to consider a duralast alternator... i can't remember what car it is but duralast makes a 130amp alt the bolts right on to the bmw... there alt bracket is soo nice

I don't know how much money you want to spend but you could go with these to match your front.

MTX TXC5.1... They are long excursion... drop the crossover lower than normal, say around 60HZ instead of the typical 80 - 100HZ.

Orion P5.2 also, if you can still find a pair, they are discontinued.

I see, I was thinking the same about the electrical system. How much do you think it would be able to handle? How do u you think it would work out if I had 1600-1800 to my substage, 300 to my front stage, with my rear midbass getting sent about 100-120.

Thats about 2000 watts or a little more.

I could go for the Orion P5.2...i can find the mids only for 80 bux shipped. the MTX TXC5.1 however, cost most than my front stage, and i think can handle more power, so I don't want to overwhelm my front stage with the rear fill.
